The Venus Method

The only accredited feminine embodiment coach certification in the world — nine months, six training arcs, and a lineage that runs from UCLA through the Taoist Studies Institute of San Francisco to 1,200 graduates practicing in 34 countries.

Built for therapists, somatic practitioners, and coaches ready to carry this work into their own rooms — and to be paid well for it.

Lineage & Credentials

The institutional receipts.

A weekend modality workshop teaches a technique. A certification teaches a profession. These are the credentials that separate the Venus Method from the rest of the field.

  1. I.

    UCLA East Asian Studies lineage

Designed by Dr. Amara Lin, PhD in East Asian Studies from UCLA and a former lecturer in the department — eighteen years of embodiment practice woven into a coherent pedagogical system.

  2. II.

    Sounds True publication

Author of The Venus Code (Sounds True, 2022), now in eleven languages — the same corpus taught inside the certification, not a watered-down derivative.

  3. III.

CEU partnership with the Taoist Studies Institute

First accredited continuing-education pathway in feminine embodiment for licensed therapists — a separate application track available to clinicians with CEU requirements.

  4. IV.

    1,200+ certified graduates, 34 countries

Fourteen consecutive sold-out cohorts. A global alumni circle that meets twice yearly in person and answers your questions before you finish Module One.

Curriculum · Nine months · Six arcs

Six training arcs across nine months.

Each arc runs roughly six weeks and blends live teaching, somatic practice, recorded lectures, supervised dyad work, and a written integration. You are not a consumer of content — you are a practitioner in formation.

Arc 01

The Feminine Body as Text

A six-week somatic foundation rooted in classical Taoist anatomy: the dai mai, the three dantiens, the ovarian meridian. You learn to read the body as a layered manuscript before you attempt to write inside someone else's.

Six weeks · Live + recorded · 28 contact hours

Arc 02

Taoist Cosmology for the Practitioner

The philosophical substrate: yin/yang as living polarity, the five phases as a diagnostic lens, wu wei as a clinical stance. Required reading from the primary sources, not a modern paraphrase.

Five weeks · Seminar format · 22 contact hours

Arc 03

The Venus Method Toolkit

The proprietary seventeen-touchpoint framework, taught step-by-step with supervised practice. Includes the pleasure-mapping protocol, the boundary ritual, and the seasonal return sequence now in clinical use worldwide.

Eight weeks · Practicum · 44 contact hours

Arc 04

Holding the Room: Clinical Presence

Trauma-informed scope of practice, contraindication screening, referral ethics, and the architecture of a Venus Method session — from intake form to closing ritual. Co-taught with a senior CEU-partner clinician.

Four weeks · Clinical seminar · 18 contact hours

Arc 05

The Practitioner as Practice

Your own embodiment is the instrument. Six weeks of intensive personal practice, monthly individual mentorship with a senior faculty member, and the beginnings of your professional signature.

Six weeks · Mentorship · 24 contact hours

Arc 06

Certification, Practicum & Launch

Twenty supervised client hours, a written case study, a final oral examination with two faculty members, and a structured launch plan for your private Venus Method practice — including pricing, positioning, and the alumni referral network.

Eight weeks · Practicum · 36 contact hours

Total program: 172 contact hours across nine months · asynchronous work additional · lifetime access to the alumni library.

Outcomes · Verified alumni data

What 1,200 graduates built.

1,200+

Certified Venus Method coaches across 34 countries since the program's founding in 2017.

14/14

Consecutive sold-out cohorts of the certification. Cohort 15 opens this spring.

11hrs

Average weekly client load booked by alumni within ninety days of certification.

3.4yrs

Average tenure of members in the private alumni circle — among the longest retention in the wellness coaching field.

Figures drawn from the 2024 alumni survey (n = 847 respondents) and the Taoist Studies Institute CEU partnership audit. Full methodology available on request.

Practitioner Voices

I came in as a licensed marriage and family therapist with twelve years of practice. I left with a second discipline that I now teach inside hospital systems. The Venus Method did not replace my clinical training — it gave it a body to live inside. The CEU partnership was the reason I could enroll.

Dr. Inez Calderón LMFT · Cohort 11 · San Diego

Six months after certification I left my corporate facilitation practice and tripled my hourly rate. The Venus Method sells because the lineage is real and the protocol is teachable — you are not buying a vibe, you are buying a profession. Three years on, my alumni circle is the most rigorous room I sit inside.
